Rebalance Pilates turns One Year Old!
Last year, on July 6 2020, I launched Rebalance Pilates at Home. We are officially One Year Old!
Thank you so much for all your support over this past year.
Last year, like many others in my line of work, I learned how to pivot. Convincing clients to move to Zoom for their workouts, finding new ways to keep my business afloat and finding new ways to grow- it was challenging.
I had never delved so deeply into social media before (some would say I’m still only touching my toe into those waters) but Instagram Live became my way of reaching new audiences; an excuse to stay active and sane during the first few months of the pandemic.
After a month of doing live workouts, I started filming them. I didn’t quite know what to do with them, but I thought this was good content and I should do something! Those Live workouts created the foundation of Rebalance Pilates at Home. From there I started filming Restorative classes, Beginner classes and Intermediate level classes. I learned how to edit my own videos, create branding and use some basic marketing strategies. Finally I found Uscreen, the platform I use to upload all my Rebalance content and Rebalance Pilates at Home was born.
I couldn’t have done this work without the guidance of Jennifer Jane Young, who helped me design the Rebalance Pilates at Home page. She taught me how to use WordPress and manage my website. She held my hand until she felt I was ready to go off on my own.
I could not be more proud of this work.
What began as an Instagram Live workout has turned into a full fledged subscription site with multiple levels of classes and collections. Over the last year, I have grown the site to include Live Group classes via Zoom, new collections (like the prenatal series launching next week), and have brought in (and am continuing to bring in) more instructors to teach and contribute content.
This site has been, and continues to be, an absolute joy to run.
Who knew we could do so much in a pandemic?
To celebrate our one year birthday, this week’s new class is all about my favourite muscle group- the Gluts!
Starring the Gluts is a workout dedicated to the glut muscles. Working on our hands and knees, our bellies, our backs and our sides we explore all the delicious ways to strengthen the gluteals.
Once again, thank you for your support over the last year. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate being part of your movement practice. I look forward to continuing this journey with you.
Cheers,
Robyn
